Beks is a welcome addition to Fulton's charming downtown, and the food and wine are excellent. This is a great place to meet friends for coffee or a drink, or two can spend a nice evening together in a really great place. Good job, Rebekah and Gary, and the all rest who made this new "cool" place a reality. --Jim and Cathy Dodson, Fulton, MO 3-17-05

I'm a deaf customer who's already been to your place 5 times!!! I just had to tell you that your cafe provides a wonderful warm atmosphere and the foods are ravishing!!! Especially the Waldorf chicken salad is to die for! I hope your place will stay around for a very long time. --Meddra Love, Fulton, MO 3-28-05

The lights are dim, the customers talk quietly amongst themselves,
and the rustic hardwood floors just welcome you in. In addition, the elegant wine
bar and Starbucks coffee machine give Beks and ere of sophistication.
That is just the first floor. A beautiful, archaic staircase caught my eye when I
entered. After receiving my tasty mocha, I decided to explore the other two floors of
this attractive shop. On the third floor, if you look above, you will see a transparent
square in the middle of the ceiling. Inside the square there are clear Christmas
lights that give the room a cozy feeling.
I was also impressed with the fact that Beks actually stays open past ten o’clock.
Where else can you go for your coffee craving past 10 p.m. at night in Fulton??
For those with laptops, the owners are wanting to make the third floor wireless, to
accommodate those who have work to do while they sip on their coffee.
I would encourage everyone to go check Beks out for themselves. It is definitely
worth your time.

**editorial note: The whole Beks building is currently wired for wireless Internet
access, and the best part, it's free for all to use.

Beks

Have you ever gone somewhere and felt like you were
"somewhere else” That is exactly how I felt when I visited Beks,
the new coffee shop/restaurant in Fulton last week. It was as if I
"wasn’t in Fulton anymore, Toto.”
“Classy is the first word that pops in my mind when describing
Bek’s. The atmosphere reminds me of the coffee place Meg Ryan
was at in the movie, You’ve Got Mail; classy, yet casual enough
that you would feel comfortable wearing your jeans.
Great place, love to go there! --Ron Jackson, Fulton, MO 4-1-05
A Review: Beks Café
By Holden McHaney, Business Manager
Westminster Columns, April 8, 2005
As I walked in the front door of Beks, I quickly noticed how much nicer and visually
appealing the atmosphere is compared to that of the other restaurants and bars in
Fulton.
A tall dark wood bar sits alongside the exposed brick wall, and the three floors of
Beks are completely open to each other. The third floor is the perfect place to have
a birthday party or a party for any occasion.
Not only is the atmosphere at Beks very relaxed, but the food is wonderful as well.
Before you can start eating, you will need to work up your appetite with the
amazing Parmesan Artichoke Dip.
After you finish the dip, if you‘re not already stuffed, try one of the delicious entrees
they offer. The sandwiches are worth the high price that one pays, and I found that
their Waldorf Chicken Salad was exceptional.
At the moment, Beks only serves appetizers, salads and sandwiches, but they are
adding many new entrees to the menu in the next couple of weeks. Judging from
what everything else tastes like, I think the new additions will be very good.
If beer is what you are seeking, then this is the place to go. Beks serves a large
variety of specialized beer, ranging from Purple Haze to some great imports that
can’t be found anywhere else in Callaway County. They also have a large selection
of wine to go with the fine dining Beks offers.
Overall, Beks’ atmosphere and great beer provides for a fine p lace for students to
party, relax, or study. It truly is the new dining gem of Fulton and the Callaway
County area. Kind of like a diamond in a lump of coal.

It feels as if Beks has always been here. Your establishment is exactly what the doctor ordered. I have already been able to host several of my Optimist Club meetings at your establishment and you have always been accommodating! BRAVO and Welcome to Fulton! --Eric & Ellen Pahl, Fulton, MO 4-22-05
