Born and raised in Callaway County, Mike Martin is likely a familiar face. He has worked in the kitchens of a variety of local restaurants since the early 90's and in Beks kitchen since 2016.
Mike's favorite beer is the Maplewood Brewery & Distillery Son of Juice IPA and his favorite Beks appetizer is the bacon-wrapped jalapenos. He says the craziest request in the kitchen he's ever received was to cook onion rings with no onions.

We greatly appreciate your support and patronage that has made Beks successful over the last 18 years. As always, we strive to provide a memorable culinary experience for each one of our customers, as well as support our local community and partner with businesses and area organizations for special events.
As the cost of living has risen significantly over the past couple of years, we have worked to absorb the food and operational increases as much as possible to keep our menu prices steady for our customers. However, the prices of ingredients and supplies have continued to increase, and we must now adjust prices to accommodate these increases.
This was a challenging decision as we know it directly impacts you, our loyal customers, but after carefully reviewing a recent food cost analysis, the change was inevitable for us to continue to provide the made-from-scratch dishes, excellent service and inviting ambiance for which Beks is known.
Please rest assured that we have made every effort to keep these updates to a minimum and will adjust accordingly as time goes on. We thank you for your support and continued patronage.

Join us for Bubbles at Beks on Thursday, December 15, 6-7:30 p.m. hosted by Keeley Bratten with Pinnacle Imports.
There will be four festive bubblies available for sampling and purchase:
Acinum: Yellow in color with greenish reflections. On the nose it displays a fruity bouquet with aromas of green apple and pink grapefruit with a smooth, crispy, extremely elegant palate and long, fresh and tasty finish.
Tarrida: Pale and clear yellow in color with fine persistent bubbles that form a crown on the rim. Clear and brilliant in the glass with clean, fruity aromas and interesting character with a dry aftertaste with balanced acidity.
Jeio Rose: Delicate pink color with fine and persistent perlage. Elegant, complex bouquet on the nose with scents of rose, hints of fresh fruits and lychees. The sip is full, sapid and harmonious with a well-balanced acidity.
Moutard Champagne: 100% Pinot Noir with a rich nose of plums and crushed flowers. Spiced with juicy apple, lemon, fruitcake, anise and smoke notes followed by a firm finish. Razor sharp acidity focuses this streamlined champagne.
Most of you know him, but for those of you who don't – meet Head Chef Daniel Proctor. Part of the Beks team since June 2010, Danny started as an intern, working his way to line cook, sous chef and ultimately head chef in 2017.

Craziest customer request: A customer who hated the color red wanted their meal re-plated in anything other than the red serving bowls.

Meet Stormey! Stormey Hug has worked at Beks since August 16, 2017 as a hostess, server, and bartender! Originally from Callaway County, Stormey graduated from South Callaway in 2010, received her education degree from William Woods University and teaches social studies at New Bloomfield High School (owner Garry Vaught's alma mater!).
